FitKit Express Community Programs
IDEA Mindset- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Availability -All FitKit Express Personal Finance Programs have been developed with DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation's IDEA Mindset for opportunity populations. DoughMain focuses on building the cornerstone knowledge and skills needed for financial success for all and is working to continually evolve the curriculum as well as peer-to-peer video content to be reflective of and meet the challenges of the communities we serve.

The FitKit Express delivers financial literacy education to those who stand to benefit the most in the larger community. It is an offshoot of the FitKit curriculum that is catered toward vulnerable populations outside the school system. FitKit Express 8-1-hour workshops are designed to be conversations with the community, highly customizable, and co-brandable. Additionally, custom Express programs can be developed to focus on mindset, history, values, and challenges of specific populations such as youth in transition from foster care, women, single parents, urban communities and Spanish speaking.
The FitKit Express is tailored to the specific needs of young men and women living in poverty or are otherwise at risk thereof. FitKit Express workshops are available for presentation from our online platform with downloadable resources or in print materials that include: a presenter’s guide, learner’s workbook, power point presentations, discussion slides, custom articles and videos that accompany each module. DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation master educators can be engaged to conduct workshops locally, but more importantly train-the-trainer opportunities are available for organizations that wish to present the program themselves.
It is important here to note the significance of the FitKit Express being sponsored and adopted by community engagers and to be taken to their individual communities. Such localization of the efforts allows for the customization of the content for the need of the local community along with the specific resources available to them that can be incorporated into the program.
Target populations for Express programs include fledgling individuals that are in life’s transitions or those that would otherwise be left out of the economic system altogether, as well as other vulnerable groups such as minorities, youth outside of the school system and single parents.
